If something goes wrong with your piano, you are usually the first person to
A key may jam down or a note may not work. It may sound terrible where a string has broken, or you may have looked inside and found some indeterminate piece of your piano lying by the pedals!
Whatever the problem is I can usually rectify it.
Alternatively, you may wish your piano to receive rather more serious attention than just remedying faults. Reconditioning your piano involves stripping down the action for cleaning, and replacing various parts such as springs, tapes and felts. In addition the strings themselves could be replaced, using new tuning pins, for a re-vitalising of the sound of your piano. Some pianos need key tops replaced. All such work is completed by making all the proper adjustments to the piano mechanism - known as 'regulating' - and tuning.
